It's a highly unlikely combination in *this* part of the world. Perhaps the two cancel each other out, thus producing that elusive creature, the political centrist? hmmmm . . .

One time when I was a little girl I remember my dad (a yellow dog democrat) getting angry when he saw an small economy car with a repulican bumper sticker. He insinuated that only rich people were republicans - so why was that guy driving an economy car? It really warped my thinking for a long time, but that was my dad - working class people were supposed to be democrats - upper class people were republicans.
