So, yes, this is a family Christmas activity, usually. However, P was deployed to [insert middle eastern location here] right after Thanksgiving - so, we decided whenever he was home on leave, we'd make them at that time...hence the Christmas music and such. Funny thing being that he has now had his "mid-term" leave - after being in country for about 2.5 months. Now he has an entire 12.5 months to go without leave.
The picture was taken standing in my parent's driveway - it's the front range of the Rocky Mountains. I fiddled with the saturation a little, but it was a gorgeous sunset to begin with...
